Premier European Film Screening - Living downstream PDF Print

A film “Living downstream. A personal exploration of cancer and our environment” was screened in the European Parliament in Brussels on Monday, 29th November, 2010. The film screening was followed by a Seminar on bringing science to policy with environmental scientist and cancer survivor Sandra Steingraber. See the invitation, the meeting agenda and Testimonials - answers to the questions on cancer and environment.

Following the personal journey and scientific exploration of world-renowned scientist and cancer survivor Sandra Steingraber, the film is a powerful reminder of the intimate connection between the health of our bodies and the health of our air, land and water. The accompanying seminar with Sandra and a panel of leading experts and cancer groups will provide an opportunity to explore further the links between cancer and the environment.

The project is sponsored by Members of the European Parliament Sirpa Pietikäinen, and Petru Luhan, FACE Champion.
