    Forum Against Cancer Europe (FACE) Workshops are organised regularly in the European Parliament in Brussels. These one-day conference address the particular problems which are crucial to cancer patients well being and survival. Hosted by the Members of the European Parliament (MEPs), who at the same time are the FACE Champions, FACE Workshops gather MEPs, representatives from the Commission, form national health ministries, health professionals and cancer patients.

    Men's Health in Europe

    On June 14, ECPC held the eighth FACE Workshop which focused on the subject of Men's Health in Europe. During the workshop, EU Health Commissioner John Dalli discussed the report on Men's Health in Europe prepared by the team of experts led by Prof. Alan White from Leeds Metropolitan University. The FACE Workshop took place in the European Parliament in Brussels (room PHS P4B001) from 9.30 to 14.00. See the agenda, the press release before the event and after the event.

    Women Against Cancer

    The seventh workshop of the "Forum Against Cancer Europe" (FACE) took place on the 15th of March 2011, 9.00-12.00, in the European Parliament premises in Brussels (room JAN 6Q1). It focused on the topic: "Women Against Cancer” and was chaired by Sidonia Jedrzejewska, MEP. Save the Date!, see the Workshop agenda and read the press release.

    Health Inequalities 

    The sixth Forum Against Cancer Europe (FACE) Workshop took place on January 24, 2011, from 4.30pm to 7pm in the European Parliament in Brussels (Room: PHS P7C050). It addressed the subject: "Health Inequalities: Fatal Determinants for Cancer Patients". See the Workshop agenda and read the policy paper and the press release.

    Rare Cancers 

    The fifth workshop of the "Forum Against Cancer Europe" (FACE) took place on the 12th of January 2011, 10.00-15.00, in the European Parliament premises in Brussels. It focused on the topic: "Rare Cancers: An Urgent Need for Policy” and was chaired by Marisa Matias, MEP. See the workshop agenda and read the press release.

    Cancer and Environment

    A film “Living downstream. A personal exploration of cancer and our environment” was be screened in the European Parliament in Brussels on Monday, 29th November, 2010. The film screening was followed by a Seminar on bringing science to policy with environmental scientist and cancer survivor Sandra Steingraber. See the workshop agenda and the press release.

    Palliative Care 

    The third workshop of the "Forum Against Cancer Europe" (FACE) took place on the 16th of November 2010, 9:30-12:30, in the European Parliament premises in Brussels. It focused on the topic: "Palliative Care: Facing the End Together with Dignity” and was chaired by Guy Mitchell, MEP.

    Cross Border Healthcare

    The workshop taking place on 15 September gathers speakers of the Commission, the European Parliament, and Research Organisations and patients. MEPs Nessa Childers and Ria Oomen-Ruijten are chairing the workshop.

    Cancer Research

    The Forum Against Cancer Europe was launched with a workshop entitled "More Cancer Research Needed in the EU: Cancer Affects Almost Every Family". The meeting was hosted by MEP Marisa Matias and featured high level speakers from the European Parliament, EU Commission, research community and patient groups.
